I believe in Miracles

We have a miracle baby in our family and she is the reason why I believe in miracles. It all started in July my mother-in-law went to the doctor for her monthly ultrasound. While there her doctor realized something was wrong and she was sent to Kansas City to see a specialist. They had her on monitors to keep track of baby Mariah. Mariah was not doing well at all and they didn't know why. All of a sudden her heart rate dropped and they raced Julie in for an emergency C-section. We were all terrified and prayed so much during that time. There was a chance we could lose Julie or Mariah or maybe even both. Mariah was born 3 months early weighing 1lb 7oz and 111/2 inches long. She was immediately sent to the NICU. Julie was doing well and was healing she didn't get to see Mariah until a day old. She was put into an incubator and remained in the hospital for 3 months. After she was born we learned her umbilical cord was knotted and she wasn't receiving any nutrients. I remember the first time Austin and I saw her she no bigger than my hand and no one was allowed to hold her. She had a feeding tube and was on heat to keep her warm. She had so many wires hooked up to her. The first time we herd her cry she sounded like a little kitten, it was so cute. She finally grew big enough and went through many test where Julie and Dom could hold her and then finally Austin and I got to hold her. We both we were so nervous, she was still very small.
