9/15/2015 (Camping Trip)

Well I thought it was just going to be a boring trip of camping and fishing. We had planned to spend four days out in nature. It was my dad, Brother Jack, Sister Anne and I that went. Our mother wasn’t really into the whole nature scene. When we got to our favorite spot we unloaded the station wagon and began to set up camp. The first night was great, we sat around the campfire and sang songs. The next day we spent fishing, well trying to fish. Anne was the one that caught most the fish of course being the only girl we knew she would. We put half the fish into the cooler to save for when we got home and the other half we ate that night for dinner. Our third day on our trop everyone was worn out from fishing, so we spent the day hiking. Our dad was very tired and just wanted to relax so he stayed at camp. As we climbed through the woods we came to a huge cave. Of course Jack and I wanted to go and investigate it, but Anne said she had a bad feeling about that cave. I told her the only scary thing coming out of that cave is a bear, and to stop being a scary cat. Anne decided to stand outside being the big baby she was while Jack and I entered. As we walked further into the cave, the rooms were getting bigger and bigger. It was cold in there and we could hear water dripping it was so quiet. The dark grew and grew as we entered a new room. I became a little scared not knowing what we may find in the dark.  We turned the corner of one of the rooms and saw a huge opening with light, so we followed the light and went in. It then became very cold and there was snow falling from above. We both decided there was no way we could still be in the cave. But as curious as we were we continued further. The opening we had just entered seemed to be another world or something. There were animals and the weather was different, we just couldn’t figure it out. After about an hour in there we decide maybe it was time to go back. As Jack and I were walking out of the cave we notice that Anne wasn’t there waiting on us. We became very worried and ran back to camp to see if she was with dad. When we arrived our things weren’t there and dad’s station wagon was gone. We just couldn’t believe they would leave us here and it was a cruel joke. We walked to the Ranger Station to get help and see what was going on. When we walked in Jack pointed out that our picture was on the wall saying “missing.” But we weren’t missing our dad and sister was. The lady at the front desk just couldn’t believe it, she looked like she had seen a ghost. While we were in that cave to what seemed to us to be an hour, it turned out to be two years. Many people joined together to search for us but could never find us. We were reunited with our parents and sister and Jack and I never spoke about what we saw that day in the cave.
